The Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Club of Fathima Arts and Science College, Moothadam, under the banner “FUTUREPRENEURS—Where Vision Meets Action,” was inaugurated on 22nd August 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Smart Room. The event was organized under the guidance of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).The program commenced with a prayer song, invoking blessings for the success of the initiative. Ms. Jissy Mathai (Club Coordinator) delivered the Welcome Address, extending a warm greeting to the dignitaries, faculty, and students. The Presidential Address was delivered by Fr. Dr. Shibin P. James (Principal), who highlighted the importance of entrepreneurial skills and innovation in the present academic and professional scenario.
The formal Inauguration Ceremony was marked by the Lighting of the Lamp by Fr. Shibin P. James, Ms. Linet Joseph (Chief Guest, ASACO Mattress), Fr. Abraham Pathackal (CEO & Bursar), Dr. Najiya Beegam (IQAC Coordinator), and Ms. Jissy Mathai (Club Coordinator). Following this, the Official Inaugural Speech was delivered by the Chief Guest, Ms. Linet Joseph, who emphasized the need for creativity, perseverance, and risk-taking in entrepreneurship.The event also witnessed a Prize Distribution Ceremony, encouraging and appreciating student achievements.

The program began at 2:00 PM with a welcome address by Ms. Jissy Mathai, ED Club Coordinator. A total of ten participants actively presented their innovative and creative ideas before the panel of judges, which included Mr. Prince Francis, Head of the Department of Economics, and Mr. Nikhil C, Head of the Department of Commerce. After an engaging and competitive session, the winners were declared: First Prize was awarded to Muhammed Jaseel, Second Taxation, and Second Prize was secured by Yadhu Krishnan of First B.Com Finance. The event served as an excellent platform for students to showcase their entrepreneurial talents and inspired them to think innovatively, making the competition a remarkable success.
The Talents Hunt (product marketing competition) was organized by the Entrepreneurship and Development Club (ED Club) on 19-08-2025. The event was conducted as a team competition with three members in each team, and a total of six teams participated. The competition was held from 11:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., where each team was given 15 minutes to sell their assigned products.
The teams came forward with creative and innovative ideas to market their products effectively. They showcased strong communication skills, teamwork, and confidence while presenting. The event created an engaging atmosphere and gave students a practical experience in product marketing and selling strategies.
After the performances, the results were announced. The first prize was won by Abhishek C B, Abin Vijay, and Adhil from B.com Finance. The second prize was secured by Sana from B.Com. Taxation, along with Afna Mujeeb and Dilfa from Computer Science.
Overall, the Talents Hunt (Product Marketing) competition was a successful and memorable event. It reflected the enthusiasm, creativity, and marketing potential of the participants, while also highlighting the importance of teamwork and innovative thinking in business.

The program was coordinated by Ms. Neethu M and Ms. Dilsa Nasreen, Assistant Professors of the Department of Psychology. The event began with a prayer by the Choir Team, followed by a welcome speech delivered by Ms. Neethu M, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Psy-Log Club. The Presidential Address was delivered by Mr. Philip Nainan, Head of the Department of Travel and Tourism, who emphasized the significance of psychology in today’s world and the relevance of student initiatives like Psy-Log Club. The official inauguration of the club was carried out by Ms. Srithila, Consultant Psychologist, Soft Mind Clinic, Thrissur. In her inaugural address, she highlighted the importance of psychological awareness and skill-based interventions such as Psychological First Aid in academic and community settings. The session was graced with felicitations from distinguished dignitaries Rev. Fr. Abraham George Pathakkal (Bursar), Ms. Neethu K (Head of the Department of Psychology), and Mr. Sabu Ponmelil (PRO of the college).

The Psy-Log Club of Fathima Arts and Science College, Moothedam, organized a Suicide Prevention Day Awareness Dance Program on 10th September 2025 at the college auditorium. The program was conducted in connection with World Suicide Prevention Day, observed globally to spread awareness on the importance of mental health and to promote hope and resilience. The event was led by the club coordinators, Ms. Neethu M and Ms. Dilsa Nasreen. The highlight of the program was a theme-based dance performance by the members of the Psy-Log Club, which conveyed a strong message on the value of life, the struggles faced by individuals dealing with suicidal thoughts, and the importance of support, empathy, and timely intervention. The performance not only created awareness among students but also evoked an emotional response, reminding everyone of the collective responsibility to stand by those in distress. The program concluded with giving a massage that extended kindness and support to peers, fostering a more compassionate campus environment. The awareness initiative by the Psy-Log Club was well-received and appreciated by the audience, marking the day as a meaningful step toward promoting positive mental health and suicide prevention.

Teams representing various departments actively participated, making the competition both engaging and vibrant.

The SWASTHYA Wellness Club of our college successfully organized a yoga class on 20 June 2025 in the college general hall as part of the observance of International Yoga Day. The event was conducted with the objective of promoting physical and mental well-being among students, while instilling a sense of calm, focus, and balance in their daily lives.
A total of 19 students actively participated in the session, reflecting their enthusiasm towards wellness and self-care. The class was led by Ms. Vijikrishna and Ms. Krishnapriya, Coordinators of the Wellness Club, who guided the participants with dedication and expertise. A website walkthrough presentation was given by Ms. Amrutha, who demonstrated the navigation, structure, and newly integrated sections of the site.
Felicitations were delivered by Ms. Najiya Beegum, IQAC Coordinator, and Ms. Jinu Mathai, faculty of the Computer Science Department. They appreciated the efforts behind the website’s development and emphasized its value for academic visibility. The floor was then opened for feedback and remarks, during which attendees shared positive responses and suggestions for continuous enhancement

The FYUGP 2025 Batch Inaugural Programme at Fathima Arts and Science College, Moothedam, was held on 1st July 2025 with enthusiastic participation from staff, students, and dignitaries. The event began with a prayer song and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the start of the academic year.
Dr. Najia Beegum (IQAC Coordinator) delivered the Welcome Address, followed by the Inaugural Address from Dr. R. Bindhu, Hon. Minister for Higher Education, who emphasized inclusive education, digital literacy, and global readiness. Rev. Fr. Dr. Shibin P. James, Principal, in his Presidential Address, highlighted the college’s mission and encouraged holistic learning. Rev. Fr. Abraham Pathackal, CEO & Bursar, delivered the keynote address, focusing on innovation and adaptability in education.
Felicitation was offered by Sri. Philip Nainan (HOD, Travel & Tourism Management), stressing industry-relevant skills. Student representative Arya Devi (PG Department of Commerce & Management Studies) shared her experiences, followed by a digital alumni presentation.
Orientation sessions were led by Sri. Nithin Kumar (HOD, Management Studies) on FYUGP and Sri. Abdul Latheef KP (NSS Coordinator) on NSS, introducing students to campus rules, clubs, the academic calendar, and mentorship.
The program also featured cultural performances, including a song by Jyothi Krishna (History) and a semi-classical dance by Vishnupriya (Malayalam) and Abinsha (History).
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sri. T.K. Satheesan (staff secretary), appreciating all contributors. The Inaugural Day was a well-coordinated blend of academic insights, cultural showcases, and student orientation, marking an inspiring start to the new academic year.
The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was successfully
conducted under FACE (Fathima Academic Centre For Excellence), the
initiative of Fathima Arts and Science College, Moothdam, on 23 rd May
2025.
The program was designed to enhance the pedagogical, technological,
and research capabilities of faculty members and promote continuous
professional growth.
The sessions included expert talks, interactive workshops, and hands-
on training, covering themes such as modern teaching methodologies,
curriculum innovation, use of digital tools in education, and research
and publication ethics. Renowned academicians and industry
professionals served as resource persons, offering valuable insights and
strategies for improving teaching-learning processes.
The FDP witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members
across various departments. The program not only facilitated
knowledge sharing but also fostered interdisciplinary collaboration
among the teaching staff. The FDP was a significant step towards
empowering educators and upholding the institution’s commitment to
academic excellence.

The highlight of the programme was the resource session delivered by Rev.Fr. Mathew Thengumpalli CMI on "Strategic Pathways to Think, Teach, and Transform." The session provided valuable insights and practical strategies for faculty development, focusing on innovative approaches to teaching and learning. The participants engaged actively with the resource person, clarifying doubts and exploring ways to apply the strategies in their own teaching practices.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Revathi Anand, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, resource person, and participants. The event was well-received, and participants appreciated the opportunity to learn and network with colleagues. The programme marked a significant step towards enhancing faculty capabilities and promoting excellence in education at Fathima Arts and Science College.
In compliance with the UGC regulations and the provisions of the Sexual
Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and
Redressal) Act, 2013, Fathima Arts and Science College, Moothedam,
has constituted an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to ensure a
safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment. The ICC is
responsible for addressing complaints of sexual harassment and
related grievances among students, faculty, and staff. The committee
comprises senior faculty members, a student representative, and an
external member from a registered NGO or legal background, ensuring
fairness, transparency, and confidentiality in all proceedings.
The committee actively conducts awareness programmes, workshops,
and orientation sessions to educate the campus community on gender
sensitivity, legal rights, and preventive measures. Regular meetings are
held to review and update policies in accordance with national
guidelines.
The functioning of the ICC reflects the institution’s strong commitment
to upholding dignity, promoting gender equality, and providing a
harassment-free academic and workplace environment.
